poor little round animal. Well, at least it has an owner. It looks so sad that is has to reluctanly follow them.
I think it belongs with them because it is clean.

I love how the light falls on the dog and the long shadows reflect the loneliness of the animal left behind, or maybe the slow pace of the walk.

All 3 subjects are in a pensive mode. The man look forward to a far horizon thinking about their human problems while the little dog is in his own world looking down.
